The Takayama Minshuku Association offers a wide variety of accommodations in Takayama city. "Minshuku" are a type of Japanese style hotel or inn that are usually small and family-run. So you can fully feel the atmosphere of Japanese tradition and culture while your stay with them.

They offer lower rates than ryokans as most of our accommdations provide rooms without meals. There are hot spring baths and pets are allowed in a few minshuku. Also, long stay plans and nature tour programs are available at several inns. Come have an experience you will not forget.

As part of the visit Japan year (2010) winter campaign, the Tokyo City Guide Club (NPO) is offering wonderful opportunities to help those new to Japan or visiting Japan understand the ins and outs of Tokyo and to also gain some insight into Japanese culture and traditions through their free, guided walking tours. Each walking tour lasts about 90 minutes and is conducted by English-speaking guides.
