Ryokan Hirashin, a traditional Japanese-style inn established more than 140 years ago, is situated in the heart of Kyoto, a mere three minutes on foot from Shijo-Karasuma Station. Guests staying at Ryokan Hirashin can easily access major sightseeing spots, yet despite being located in Kyoto's entertainment district, the ryokan sits in a quiet neighborhood and is a short 5 minute walk from a convenience store.
All rooms have a bath and western-style toilet. There are 4 different shared baths in the inn (female x 2, male x 2). The spacious public bath was renovated in 2006. Yukata (light Japanese cotton robe) which guests wear after taking baths are available in your room.
Dinner is served in your guest room and breakfast is served at the banquet room.
Major credit cards such as American express, VISA and JCB are accepted.
Entrance closes at midnight but there will be a person at the front desk to open the doors past midnight. We do not have a parking lot but there is a parking lot nearby. 24 hours for 2,000 yen.
We are also happy to watch your luggage before check in and after check out.

From JR Kyoto station, take the subway 4 minutes to “Shijo Station”, and walk for 3 minutes. We’re also a 3-minute walk from Hankyu private railway “Karasuma Station”.
