Takayama Minshuku Accommodations, Japanese Inns in Takayama-shi, Gifu

The Takayama Minshuku Association offers a wide variety of accommodations in Takayama city. "Minshuku" are a type of Japanese style hotel or inn that are usually small and family-run. So you can fully feel the atmosphere of Japanese tradition and culture while your stay with them.

They offer lower rates than ryokans as most of our accommdations provide rooms without meals. There are hot spring baths and pets are allowed in a few minshuku. Also, long stay plans and nature tour programs are available at several inns. At some inns, there is an old fire place called an irori, sunken hearth, in a dining room. The inns provide local delicacy, Hida beef, for dinner. Having local cuisine surrounding the irori will be one experience you will not forget.
